
Joan Richert - Master Instructor
Joan holds a 9th degree Black Belt in Shaolin Kempo karate. She practices Tai Chi and teaches women’s self defense. Joan graduated from Ball State University Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Exercise Science and Wellness. She is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) received certification as a Health Fitness Instructor is a Personal Trainer through the ASCM.
She recognized the similarities between the Martial Arts and Pilates. After discovering the benefits of Pilates, Joan opened Pilates Bodies. Her goal is to make it available and affordable for everyone. Joan holds certification from Peak Pilates.

Dawn Frielinger
Born in York, United Kingdom, Dawn trained at the Royal Ballet School in London, U.K. During her 3rd year she went on tour in China with the Scottish Ballet’s small scale touring company and also worked with Birmingham Royal Ballet.
After graduating in 1993, Dawn joined the Kiel Ballet Company in Germany as the Principal Dancer. From 1995-2001 she was a dancer with the Scottish Ballet.
Dawn was first introduced to Pilates at the Royal Ballet School and continued taking classes throughout her professional career.

Patricia Reid
Originally from Falls Church, Virginia, Patricia came to Louisville in 1979 to perform soloist and principal roles with the Louisville Ballet. She also started, directed, and taught a group known as Circular Motion, which integrated disabled and able bodied dances.
After six years working as a veterinary technician, Patricia was introduced to Pilates while looking for an alternative career. She has completed the seven month comprehensive Stotts Pilates program based in Toronto, Canada and has taught in Virginia as well as Kentucky.
