Become a Certified Pilates Instructor
Pilates Bodies is now hosting the only internationally recognized Pilates certification program in Kentucky. The next opportunity to become certified to teach Pilates begins August 30th right here at Pilates Bodies.
Even though Pilates has been around since the 1920’s, its popularity has quadrupled in the past seven years; some credit A-list celebrities like Madonna, Jennifer Aniston and Sarah Jessica Parker who do Pilates on a regular basis. As the interest in Pilates continues to increase, the demand for Pilates instructors is on the rise. ATTN: Pilates Bodies is currently seeking additional Pilates instructors to keep up with demand.
Is working as a Pilates Instructor right for you? Here are just a few questions to answer:
• Do you enjoy helping others?
• Are you interested in the health and/or fitness?
• Would you prefer to set your own hours and schedule?
• Are you interested in making a high hourly rate for your time?
If you answered YES to any of the questions above read on or contact Stacy Celi today to find out more about the upcoming Pilates Certification in Louisville. Call Stacy direct at (502)876-9797.
More about teaching others Pilates:
Pilates is a great way to help people reach their health and fitness goals. It helps tone and strengthen core muscles for people of all ages. It can be very rewarding to see clients make noticeable improvements and enhance the quality of their lives. Many Pilates instructors also notice improvements in their health after becoming certified to teach others as well.
As a Pilates instructor, you typically set the numbers hours you’re available to work and make your own schedule. This is an ideal situation for people looking to work part-time or people who just prefer to work certain days of the week.
Pilates instructors are in high (and increasing) demand, and command among the highest fees for group classes in the fitness field. Becoming certified through Pilates Sports Center you will be trained in ALL Pilates equipment apparatus, and thus you will have the most opportunities for employment.
What to look for in a Pilates certification program:
The number of certifying programs and courses has sky rocketed just as the demand for teachers. Unfortunately, not all programs and courses are “created equal”. Before you invest your time and money into a certification you should ask some of the following questions:
- What am I paying for? Many courses will cover a very limited amount of material or only one form of Pilates, such as Mat Pilates.
- What style of Pilates? Many courses are put together using the instructors own methods and/or exercises and in the process miss out on some of the core teachings of Joseph Pilates. In many cases, you get what you pay for.
- Are there any hidden fees? Watch out for fees and “extra” courses needed.
- Who is teaching the course? And how much experience do they have? Look for experienced instructors with at least five years of experience.
- How extensive is the course? Does it really prepare me to be a qualified Pilates instructor?
The PSC certification is one of the most extensive 450 hours certification in the industry and the only internationally recognized program currently in Kentucky.
